Superb Antique Unheated No Heat 2.34ct Burma Burmese Ruby Earrings & Certificate

A Simply lovely matched pair of Unheated Burma Rubies from the famed gem mines of Mogok in Burma (Myanmar) totalling 2.34ct, set in this antique (approx 60-70 years old) solid 18k yellow gold setting and surrounded by an array of small accent diamonds of commercial quality. The colour of these magnificent gemstones is a deep almost crimson red, reminiscent of the ‘pigeon’s blood’ hue of yore, absolutely unusual, intriguing and absolutely typically Burmese. Very good colour match and cut from the same rough. Bear in mind that the light in Chicago, as an example, may not be so bright this time of year! Important- these are gorgeous but, at this price point, inevitably not perfect stones. Both gems are obviously included, but transparency, vibrancy and lustre are all very good - these are transparent and not opaque rubies.
