A simply stunning estate ring, possible 30-40 years old, featuring a wonderful Unheated Padparadscha Sapphire from the sun kissed isle of Sri Lanka weighing 1.81ct. The Padparadscha Sapphire is simply gorgeous - a light pastel pinkish peach, with arguably pink the dominant hue in sunlight and peach under incandescent lighting - a delightful hue which shows extreme fire and vibrancy. This is unquestionably, together with pigeon’s blood red, one of the most sought after gem colours in the entire world.
